What's your story?
I was born in Rennes, France, from Algerian parents. My love for philosophy made me borrow, by accident, a Neuroscience book from the library - 'the Nature of the Spirit' by Marc Jeannerod. This was an eye-opener: the topics of emotion, action, decision-making, free will, consciousness...they were all explored by Neuroscience. Studying cognition, opened the door to many interests in technological innovation and AI.
I moved to Austria in 2014, and have been living here since then.

Are you a scientist?
I conducted many experiments recording the activity of the brain in rodents. My scientific topics were brain plasticity and cognitive flexibility. I completed a B.Sc, and research M.Sc. in Cognitive and Integrative Neuroscience. I also studied a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Medical University of Vienna. I took a break in writing the thesis, as my business ventures picked up in the last few months of my PhD. Therefore I am still a PhD student ;) // graduation in progress... Although I did real scientific work, I see myself as a scientific communication expert rather than a high-level scientist. |

What I did in the past
What kind of professional experience do you have?
As a cofounder and CEO
I co-founded a hub promoting and accelerating neuroscience and neurotechnology research, The Brainstorms Scientific GmbH. We lead multiple activities facilitating innovation in Neuroscience and A.I. Right now, that company is undergoing changes that will be announced in 2022.
Managing a digital health innovation program for late-stage startups
I was Community Manager (2020) and then, leading (2021) the digital health innovation program at Health Hub Vienna. I worked with clients from the pharmaceutical industry, managed the team and the budget
Ad-hoc projects
Mostly consulting for various science or tech related projects, sometimes writing content. I really enjoy public speaking.

Offers I will consider
I will consider side-activities or hobbies that do not create any conflict of interest with my employer.
My time is limited, and I will prioritize causes that matter to me.
I lend my brain and passion to projects that are a good fit to my interests, whether I lead them or not.
I love working in various constellations
Do you have something exciting where I could help?
